Make your own udon on a mountainside!

Kunugi Mura Taiken Koryu Center is located on a mountainside in Tokigawa. Reportedly, it was once a school. A very beautiful and very small school! There are two buildings on the grounds. One is a restaurant and one is where you can make your own udon, from scratch. The latter was unfortunately closed for most of the pandemic, so when we visited we couldn't try it ourselves. They advise you ring in advance, as they occasionally don't open on scheduled days. Best visited by car or bicycle if you are an experienced rider! Lots of cyclists in this area. Please note, there is a really steep road to the restaurant and a tricky turn into the parking lot. All worth it for the beautiful views and homemade udon!
