    Hospitality Restaurant

On a beautiful but too hot day, I was in need of some hydration during a long break, but didn't have a huge budget or appetite. I like the fancy drink bars at restaurants like Royal Host. There are lots of herbal and flavored teas and fancy juice in addition to the usual coffee machines. The first restaurant I went to on my first visit to Japan was Royal Host. I think I've only been there 4-5 times total now. The location in Tokyo was huge and had a nicer selection of teas than our local restaurant. At lunchtime, adding drink bar to any item of 300 yen and up is only 210 yen. Without any food, drink bar is only 300 yen – what most cafes will charge for one cup of coffee. I got some yummy garlic toast which was perfect and salty so I could drink a lot. I did have a little scare when I saw a couple tiny cockroaches crawl out from under the coffee machine. I guess it's summer and most places that get humid will have cockroaches. I tried not to think about it. Only slightly more expensive than other family restaurants like Joyfull and Gusto, but classier, it's not a bad place to go. They have nicer teas, no students camping out, and fancy bossa nova background music. The restrooms are on the second floor, but there are no tables upstairs.
