Most popular aqua park in all of Japan

According to both Walker and Jalan magazines, the aqua park in Hotel New Sunpia in Ogose is the most popular for families in all of Japan in 2022. I'll be completely frank - I really don't know why. For one it is smaller than most, much smaller. Also, it is old and it shows. Furthermore, it is crowded unless you go on a cloudy day, which is the only day we'll go. I couldn't queue up to get in and there is always a queue to get in in the morning. However, having said all that, it is fairly reasonably priced, considering its in a hotel. Also, the area they have for children is particularly fun with various colorful slides and balls they can play with. Also, it has some shaded spots where you can put down a blue / picnic sheet. You can also use small pop up tents. Floats can be used in the main pool too, which is a wave pool, but nothing larger than a swimming ring is allowed.
