A nice photo op
We visited this park a couple of times when we lived closer to the area, and I think it's quite cute for a fun photo op. I didn't really know much about the Moomins before visiting the park, but have since come to understand their popularity here in Japan! If you're already a fan of the Moomins you'll probably appreciate it even more than I did. There's plenty of free parking on-site, making this a pleasant, stress-free spot to visit if you're in the area.

Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park
The "Tove Jansson Akebono Moomin Children's forest park" was created in collaboration with the creator of the Moomin series, which is very popular in Japan. Not far away is the Moomin Valley, which is also completely devoted to the cute little characters. The small park has various small houses that look incredibly playful and cute. In every corner you can discover a sweet detail that will bring you into another world full of fantasy. Unfortunately, apart from the main building, it was not possible to enter any of the buildings. Corona sends its regards again. Instead there was a large children's theater in the main building, which reminded me more of a church. It was really very impressive. If you looked closely you could see characters from the Moomin cartoon series from time to time. Also there were really a lot of different small art objects hidden in the whole park that delight you. The evening lighting in the park is said to be particularly great, but unfortunately we couldn't stay that long. However, the park is really worth seeing in every season. Whether with beautiful autumn leaves or snow in winter.
