Neat, fun with animals, a little pricey
We went on a Sunday afternoon and were surprised to find it not entirely full. There was a sign at the front saying that they would turn away people when they got to what they considered to be at maximum occupancy. We were told that it would be a 90 minute stay and the drink bar is forced upon you. So the 1100 yen fee isn't actually the fee because there's an extra 330 yen attached to it. We did enjoy our time there. My daughter pet so many animals. I even got to feed the sloth. One of the big selling points of the specific pet cafe is that there is a sloth who is visible near the window and seems okay, though I did watch the sloth be a little bit distressed at not being able to climb more of the tree. My daughter was very excited to get to hold the hamsters specifically for which gloves were provided. She also waited in line for a chance to pet the hedgehog. Which was also adorable. There's also a massive tortoise and an iguana along with many birds, a few lizards and a little couple of snakes. The only real downside to the space other than the potential for overcrowding is the parrot in the back is extremely loud at random times and we're not entirely sure why. There was a small pen of chicks which most people seemed to gravitate toward, especially small children. For 100 yen, you can acquire a small container of seeds to feed the chicks and other birds. You can also buy a small selection of vegetables to feed to the rabbits and guinea pigs for 200 yen. At the right time, you can pay 200yen and get in line to feed the sloth. There are chinchillas, but they were on break during our entire visit. While it is a tad expensive, it's also overall worth the price. The drink bar itself doesn't offer too much and you have to choose hot or iced at the entrance, so you don't really have the option of changing between a hot coffee and a cold cup of tea or anything like that during your 90 minute stay. That said, the drink bar isn't really why anyone goes there anyway.
