All day pancake breakfast near Hon-Kawagoe station

Cafe Matilda is advertised as an American diner, but it doesn't really have that much of an American feel to it. It does have lots of paraphernalia from movies and TV programs and lots of American items, including an American flag outside. We were the first in for their lunch time opening, but by the time we left there wasn't an empty seat and there were people waiting. The place isn't particularly big, seating about 30 in total. It has three different opening times: morning, afternoon and night. The morning and afternoon hours are the most busy. The menu isn't that vast, but the have a decent selection of sides to get with their main staple: pancakes. There is an English menu. It is quite affordable. They have high chairs and a few toys for kids to play with. They give kids a lollipop when you are paying your bill. There is no official parking, but there is coin parking right beside the cafe; 200 yen for 40 minutes. Hon Kawagoe station is within walking distance and the diner is on the main walking route from the station to the tourist district.
