    A surprising escape room

I absolutely love escape rooms, and I'm glad that the trend that has swept basically the rest of the world has started becoming more popular in Japan. This is the second escape room I've been to (strangely, both have been in Asakusa) but it is my favorite by far. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time so everything goes smoothly! I can't say much about the room itself without giving anything away. And trust me, you don't want to know any spoilers. It's a really fun and innovative room. The instructions are in both English and Japanese for the room, so don't worry about language stopping you. When I did it, there was a bit of a hiccup, as one of the locks was put on wrong and the code we entered was actually right... It ate up a lot of our time before they could fix it. It was unfortunate that we couldn't get that time back. However, we still finished with seconds to spare so it's ok! There is a guide in the room with you who will provide hints and guide you in the right direction if you're having any trouble. Honestly, I would've preferred to be left alone to my own devices, but it all worked out in the end so it's okay. The price was pretty average for what you get. You can buy extra swag if you like also. If you're interested in any of their themed rooms (I think there was a Detective Conan / Case Closed themed room when I went last) there is a high probability that it won't be in English. They only have the English translations for a few of the rooms, and while language isn't always necessary, for a story-driven room it definitely is. Overall, it was a really fun experience. I would love to be back, but unfortunately, they don't encourage doing the same room multiple times. Besides, what's the fun in that? Until then, I'm waiting for them to release more English rooms! I'll be waiting!
