A Pocket of Philippines
If you’re hankering for Filipino food and you find yourself in Kawasaki, you can come to this place. Their food is authentic and their service is decent. On Saturdays, however, they have all-you-can-eat all day, so their menu is limited. You can still order the dishes from their menu but they warn you that it would take a long time to prepare due to the setup they have with the AYCE. The big drawback with this place is that the staff speaks Tagalog almost exclusively. That was an incredibly surprising development for me as I haven’t spoken the language in years, plus their English was non-existent. Their Japanese isn’t great either as they were unable to explain what certain dishes were to my partner. I don’t think this language experience is entirely bad, but it does hamper communication.
