Old Airport, Good Foodcourt, Good Shopping
Step into the elevator of the parking lot and you will see how old the airport is, as well as how not everything is maintained well (such as emptied boxes with no flyers). On the other hand, you can do most of your souvenir shopping here, especially for food. So if you forgot to grab some snacks to hand out to coworkers, you can do most of that here. The food court is quite varied in their choices as well. I had my last bowl of okinawa soba here and it was quite good, followed by icecream just a floor below. Surprisingly, it is quite a relaxing airport.

Plenty of amenities, although our departure gate didn't have A/C
I've transited through Naha Airport a few times now, and always had pretty pleasant experiences. There are plenty of options for food, drink, and shopping, which is great if you have some time to kill before your flight - and who doesn't want to pick up some chinsuko? (That's always number one on our omiyage list!) One thing I recall prominently from a trip there with a friend a few years back was that our terminal gate heading back to Tokyo didn't have A/C. It was so hot and humid! I don't know if it was permanently like that, or if there was just a malfunction on the day we transited through, but it was sweltering. Other than that, it's a pleasant airport.
