Excellent Tantanmen Noodles

This place is awesome - my husband and I would both agree that it's our favorite tantanmen noodles that we've had anywhere (and we have traveled extensively throughout Asia!) Niramanju is located basically right outside the Yokota Air Force Base, in Fussa (on the outskirts of Tokyo Prefecture). The store has menus in English, as well as English speaking staff - probably by virtue of it's location. There is a wide range of choices on their menu - fried rice, stone bowls, gyoza, and plenty of noodle dishes - but the tantanmen to us is the star of the show. One other thing that is fun about Niramanju is the quirky decor that is inside the restaurant. A wall mural painted with famous historical figures like JFK and Marilyn Monroe adorn the walls, again perhaps in some kind of homage to the location being so close to a US military installation. Worth a visit if you're near the area.
