American Style Lunch in Sendai Station
On the third floor of the cool new area of Sendai station's S-PAL East buildings, located just along the east exit, you can find this shop, but one step off of the elevator will tell you what you need to know. The shop is immensely popular, especially during lunch rush, and the dining room is warm and welcoming ans tragically small. There doesn't seem to be much business for take out and customers wait in line to order and pay before they are seated, so it is wise to order everything you intend to eat before taking out your wallet. Supplemental orders will be challenging as wait staff are not available to come to the tables and you'll likely be waiting in line for 20 minutes, waiting for someone to realize that you already have a seat. As tricky as the order and seating issue can be, the food is delicious and surprisingly worth the expense. With a seasonally rotating menu of interesting specials (including a Ghost Buster's themed black-bunned burger some years ago), a frequent patron could easily enjoy a number of great dishes without repeating. In addition, the chocolate and coffee flavored frappe was great, though the tea frappe left something to be desired.
