French Bakery Chain-- Great Brunch with Free Coffee Refills

This is one of my favorite spots in Sendai for a quick weekday brunch and it isn't hard to see why-- fresh baked bready options as well as decent coffee and a pretty good morning set selection. Each morning set comes with a small salad and a serving of onion soup in addition to your choice of drink (coffee or tea, I think, though I've only ever ordered the coffee) and one of the following: toast with jam and butter, a croissant, or one piece of french toast with powdered sugar. The croissant and french toasts sets cost only 450 yen, with the toast set running 50 yen cheaper. In addition, free coffee refills are available with purchase of any of these sets until 11AM, though only if you order hot coffee in the first place. Do bring your receipt for your refill so they can check that it was part of a set. Other pastry options in the shop can cost anywhere from 250 yen to 450 yen depending on the complexity of the item. In any case, the sitting area is large, nice and clean. An easy place to edit a short story or teach a quiet English lesson over brunch.
