Daitokan - Hotel with nice Onsen

Finding the right hotel for staying overnight at an onsen city is always difficult. We decided to stay at the Daitokan, a nice hotel located about 10 minutes away from JR Ito station. They have Japanese styled rooms with tatami and futon and even a good view over the city until the sea in the far away background. The prices for one night starts from 6,800 yen per person depending on the day and season. This includes a Japanese-Western style breakfast buffet. Highlight of the hotel are the onsen which you can use freely 24 hours a day (take care of the cleaning times). There are two public baths which are seperated by gender. The big open-air rotenburo bath has a time schedule for men and women. There are three private baths at the hotel which you can use freely without reservation if they are vaccan. A 300-meter long tunnel brings you to the Goemonburo which has two pots heated directly from beneath. Next door you find the Neburo, a room where you can sleep. I personally liked the private rotenburo most, which is located in front of the main entrance. The price for the hotel was ok for all the service you get offered. If you don't stay there, you even can use the onsen for an admission fee of 700 yen. Here is the website: http://www.daitokan.jp/
