Saitama Norin Park

Saitama Norin Park is the Saitama Prefecture agricultural park. They offer various educational events related to agriculture as well as fruit and vegetable picking. Because it is a Prefectural facility their fruit, vegetable and flower picking is a lot cheaper than doing it privately. However, you can't just rock up and pick, you have to wait until there is a picking event on and book yourself in for a slot. The park has two playgrounds. One is really small and for toddlers. The other is in one corner of the car park. It is an athletic type play area. There is a steam locomotive in the park that you can ride for a nominal fee on the weekends. There are a couple of eateries and a farmer's market on the grounds too. Parking is free. Kawamoto Sun Green Park
