Wind chimes since 2023
The lotus flowers are now in bloom at Zenchoji, a little earlier than an average year. They also have a small, but picturesque wind chime display with the chimes hanging from the eaves of the temple's beautiful wooden gate. They have flowers in the glass of the chime which is a nice touch.

Famed for its lotus pond
Zenchoji is a temple in a rural area of Kawagoe near the Kawagoe Water Park. The temple is best known for its lotus pond. I visited out of season and found the temple is still quite picturesque even when the lotus aren't in season. The temple actually had some autumnal plants that gave off a hint of color. The gate to the temple is a beautiful wooden structure. Due to its location the temple isn't visited much out of lotus season so it was nice and tranquil and there was a pleasant ambiance. The temple has a car park. There is a vending machine on the grounds. And there are some places to sit on the temple grounds.
