    More than just poppies

On Google Maps this location is called Nagatoro California Poppy Garden in English. But in Japanese its called Nagatoro Hana no Sato, which means Nagatoro Flower Village. It is a much more accurate description, as they grow more than just poppies. Granted, the poppies are the most famous. But this garden looks even more stunning in hydrangea season, in my humble opinion. During poppy season there is someone in the reception office and you get a postcard when you pay your 200 yen entry fee. In the other seasons, it operates on the honor system - pop your 200 yen in a box, no postcard!
