Shoraikaku

Another fab spot for autumn lovers + history buffs

Shoraikaku in Nagaoka is located next to the Koshiji Maple Garden, and it's another great spot in the area for both architecture and nature lovers. The grounds are home to about 100 pine trees and 100 maple trees, and during autumn it's a really spectacular place to check out. On the architecture note, the actual building is a residence that was completed in the 1930s, so it's a bit of a gem for history buffs. Best part is that admission is free!
