Cheap and warm noodles!
Hanamaru is one my favorite Japanese chains. I'm so sad that it was only last year that I discovered it... All those missed meal opportunities! But it's no matter now, since the weather is cooling down and I need a warm pick-me-up most days. The concept is simple: Japanese noodles at low costs. This is a no-frills restaurant. Most dishes (especially the cheap ones) are noodles, broth, and some green onions (maybe). If you want additional toppings, you can order them separately. Without toppings, you can get a small bowl of noodles for about 300 yen! They have other foods too, but I've only tried the curry and rice. Everything is pretty standard. It's not going to be the best food you've ever eaten, but for the price I will go back again and again. This particular location is pretty new, as it was added as part of the renewal this year. The shop is clean, has plenty of seating, and the workers are friendly.
