Hotel Okabe

Simple but clean accommodation

We stayed at Hotel Okabe while we were hunting for a house in our town, and it’s fairly on par with most other business hotels in Japan. If you’re after bells and whistles this probably isnt the place for you, but if you’re fine with a clean spot to rest your head then it’s perfect for that. One of the biggest conveniences about staying here is the proximity to the train station, which has shinkansens running direct to Tokyo or Niigata City in the opposite direction. You’re literally about two minutes from the station, so for the sake of convenience you really can’t beat it. The hotel is also situated right by a 7-11 store (literally they are right next door to one another) and we found that the most convenient spot to get a bite to eat. There’s a family restaurant only about 2 minutes walk away as well.
