A beautiful representation of Japan
The Edo Marketplace at Haneda's terminal 3 to me really represents what makes an airport good. Aside from the usual things you'd want (helpful amenities, cleanliness), this area *feels* like Japan and provides a fun cultural experience. There are numerous places to eat in the area (Onigiri Konga is a favorite for us - quick and reasonably priced), plus souvenirs, and even an optical shop!

Relax before your flight
Edo Market Place or Edo Koji is a nice shopping and dining area on the third floor of Haneda International Airport (Terminal 3). All the shops are in the Edo period design and some of them have lanterns hanging on them. There is even a little stage in the area. In addition, there are useful services such as bathrooms, baby changing facilities, vending machines and smoking rooms in the area. Its a popular spot, so do give yourself plenty of time in the airport if you wish to eat in one of the Japanese style restaurants here before a flight.
