A verdant path in linking Saitama towns

The tiny Kawanoekifujitsuka Park on the Furutone River Midori Michi isn't a destination as much as a stop on a long riverside route that follows the Furutone River along a route that stretches nearly 15 kilometers. The cycling and walking route is a narrow path dotted with small pit stops - parks with public toilets and plazas, some with benches and playground equipment. The river flows past farms, residential areas, thickets, and is lined with steps down to the water where fishers cast their rods. You can find uncrowded hanami, birdwatching, and wildlife spotting locations along the river.
