If you like DIY lunch options and want a unique way to cook in Beppu, having your food steamed in the natural geothermal steam is such a fun thing to do. You choose from a host of different steam friendly food options (we chose nikuman, pork belly and veggies) and you’re given them in wire dishes to put in one of the “steam ovens” so to speak. Protective gear is provided at the site - that steam gets hot! Depending on the time of day there can be a wait so factor that in. A delicious and fun interactive experience!
