Hotarunosato Park

Spot for fireflies in Niigata

Hotarunosato Park is a destination in Niigata known for being a firefly spotting place, and I think it's worth visiting for the novelty of it. I wouldn't go there with the expectation that you will see thousands of them, but on our visit we saw quite a few and I think they're just such magical little creatures! When the firefly festival is running there is a charge for parking of 500 yen, so just keep that in mind if you plan on visiting.
