CoCo Ichibanya Niigata City

Comfort food done right - with the ability to buy extras to take home!

If you love Japanese curry, the Coco Ichibanya is probably a name that is well-versed in your food vocabulary. It was one of the first food places I was introduced to in Japan, and that was it - I was addicted. So many of my friends that are now back in the States are CoCo curry fans too - so much so that whenever I am sending a care package back to them, they ask for packets of their curry mixes - because nothing else lives up to the taste! The staff at this store were super friendly, and like most CoCo's stores your food is out in a flash. I also picked up some of those take home packets - they have several varieties including beef, pork, and even vegetarian if you're a non-meat eater. Needless to say, CoCo Ichibanya is a great place to stop if you want a warming winter meal for an inexpensive price and it's a favorite of mine and my family.
