For casual Thai dining, Gatchiki on the east side of Kashiwa Station is pretty good. The weekend lunch menu offers four sets, with classic Thai dishes such as green curry, khao man gai (chicken rice), and kra pao (minced meat over rice). These are "street food" dishes familiar to folks who have visited and/or lived in Thailand. The flavours are close to authentic. I noticed notes of Thai basil and fish sauce, ingredients I sometimes scrimp on in my Thai home cooking. Servers speak Thai and Japanese, and they've got bright smiles and put the food on the table fast. QR codes at your table access an ordering app. It doesn't require downloading or social media apps. Ask the servers about access to the WIFI.
