Kura Sushi is one of the big Sushi chains. The branch in Koganei is always pretty crowded. If you go alone you won't have to wait long but if you plan to go as a group reservation is definitely recommend. You can reserve through their app. Usually, a few hours before your planned visit is sufficient. They have all the standard sushi, but also some experimental creations, like sushi with meat or sushi with eggplant. The price of 100 Yen per plate is very affordable. Once every 5 plates you can take part in a lottery and if you're lucky you can win special merchandise. Currently, there is a collaboration with Pokemon so you can win Pokemon masking tape and keychains. The place does not only offer sushi, you can also order several cakes and mini parfaits from the dessert menu. I would recommend the Tanabata parfait.
