Musashi no Mori Coffee Kitamoto Branch

Not the best pancakes

Musashi no Mori Coffee is a chain coffee shop by Skylark, the restaurant giants behind many familiar family restaurants such as Gusto and Bamiyan. There are only ten branches in Saitama prefecture, so I had heard much about the cafe before I actually got to visit one. And unfortunately, I was disappointed! But I think my expectations were too high. It is a lovely space and done very well. They've a very good menu. However, the pancakes were below par in my personal opinion. They are nice and airy, but the flour taste was overwhelming. Drowning them in maple syrup helped! Also, at 1480 yen for a chain store pancake I thought it was on the expensive side. Although, the rest of the menu is fairly priced.
