    Nice, Normal Aquarium

Admittedly my family frequents aquariums so our standards are a little higher than average and we were fitting this in at the end of a day and it happened to be the day that the biggest orca in Japan and resident of this aquarium, Earth, died, so the place was a little somber. We still watched some dolphins swim though we didn't see any performances. We also observed a variety of deep sea fish and penguins, Overall, it was mostly on par with the Sendai aquarium we see back in Miyagi, down to the same booth to make-your-own-pearl-jewelry for 2000 yen or so. I didn't see as many opportunities to eat but there are restaurants elsewhere in the Nagoya pier area and it was towards the end of a sad day for the aquarium. The other orca was visible only briefly and from a distance as far as I could tell.
