Gyoda Haniwa no Yakata is located in the vicinity of the Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds. It is on the same street as the Saitama Prefectural Museum for the burial mounds. Haniwa are the name of the earthen clay figures that were used as grave markers. The Sakitama area is known for them. You can make your own Haniwa at this center. You can just buy them too, if you prefer. The price has gone up quite a lot since the pandemic - from 600 yen to 1000 yen.
