    Menuma Shoden-zan Temple

Many know the Nikko Toshogu Shrine with its magnificent colorful, detailed decorations, but only a few know that there is a very similar temple in Saitama. The history of the Menuma Shodenzan Temple dates back to 1179 when the local governor Lord Sanemori anchored the revered god Shoden in the temple. The honorable God of Shoden insists on family health and safety, prosperity in business, warding off bad luck, happiness, road safety and success in school exams. The temple area is really very large and has many different temple buildings as well as a small cute Japanese garden. The special thing about the temple is the main building, which is wonderfully colorfully decorated with mythical creatures and ancient stories. Every little corner is wonderfully decorated and lovingly designed. Although the decorations are quite old, they still shine in a perfect shade.
