    A flower shop and cafe!

I love spring because I love flowers. I love the smell and how pretty they look. Honestly, if I could live in a room full of flowers, I would. So when I heard of a cute little flower shop and cafe combo right around JR Ebisu Station, I immediately felt the urge to check it out. The shopfront looks exactly like that: there were flowers in the window and outside for sale, but there was also a wooden counter with coffee machines and pastries, and a big menu to order off of. Because of the novelty of this place, I was expecting everything to be quite expensive. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this wasn't the case at all! In fact, it was cheaper than a lot of the other cafes that I had visited in the area. I decided to get a rose water and my boyfriend got an espresso. The rose water soda was so delicious and refreshing! Plus, the ice that they used actually had a little flower (I'm assuming from their store) frozen inside. The espresso was nice as well, and actually made properly. (Plus, they have single origin beans!) And, even though we didn't order food, they gave us each a tiny pastry to snack on. (This wasn't a table charge or anything. They were just legitimately nice!) There's not much seating, however, The first floor only has a few tables. There's a downstairs that has a good amount of seats and a pretty good working area, but when I went it was completely filled up! I advise you to take whatever seat you can find open. There are outlets at almost every seat as well, so if you're running low on battery, Essence Cafe has you covered. And, speaking of downstairs... Well, I don't want to ruin too much of a surprise, but it's absolutely breathtaking! If you're a plant lover (even fake plants), then you'll be in heaven with their decor. I recommend this spot if you're in Ebisu looking for a light bite with a twist.
