Watchtower, riverfront, and historic spots
Despite its small size, wedged between the Ayase and Denu Rivers, this park has many historic and scenic spots. The Denu River has two photogenic bridges, one with decorative iron panels depicting the Edo era life and the other vermillion. In the park is a small pavilion called Basshoan, the tourism information for the city. Next to Basshoan is a reconstructed watchtower (take your shoes off before you climb the stairs). The park has many monuments and a rare preserved Edo-era stone weir.
