Oisii Deli in Kanazawa is a great place to get some ultra-fresh bentos with some ingredients that are more Japanese/Western fusion rather than just Japanese in nature. It's close by to Kanazawa Station -- about 10 minutes on foot or 4 minutes by car, so it's pretty conveniently located. The store is fully takeout though, there's not the option to eat in, so just keep that in mind if you plan on stopping by.
