    Bagels and latte art

On the main tourist strip in Kawagoe lies a quaint bagel shop with a decent selection of beverages, latte art and light meals. You can take-out or eat in. The seating area is upstairs and they have one table outside. They allow smoking anywhere in the upstairs seating area and it is quite stinky, so you might want to use the table outside if you don't like that smell. They have a huge selection of bagels. Allergy information is not displayed, but the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They do sell dairy free bagels. Bagels are freshly made with carefully sourced ingredients and are nice enough, even for me who isn't really a great bagel lover. The light meals are quite nice too. Even though they don't have a lot of seating, they don't rush you to finish your meal and there is quite a relaxed atmosphere. At least one of the staff members speaks English and their menu and bagel names are displayed in both English and Japanese. The bagels are reasonably priced, but the beverages are, in my opinion, a little bit over-priced. They open 10 am to 7 pm Thursday to Tuesday, closing on Wednesdays. There is no parking. There is a bus stop nearby that goes to Seibu Shinjuku line Hon-Kawagoe station and JR and Tobu-Tojo Line Kawagoe stations.
