Fresh homemade food by very small family run restaurant with crafts

You would almost pass this restaurant without noticing it, on the way to the tourist district of Kawagoe. However, if like me, you take a chance and go in to see what its like, I think you will have a decent experience. There are only a few tables in this small restaurant that I would guess was converted from a shop. The menu is very limited, but the food is very good. The daily menu is displayed on a chalk board out the front of the restaurant and if you didn't happen to catch it, they will tell you inside what is on offer. Due to the type of restaurant it is, they only have a certain number of each dish on the daily menu available; when they are sold out the dish is no longer available on that day. The restaurant is run by a couple. They speak a little English. They are welcoming and friendly. The man cooks the food and the woman serves and sells some of her crafts in the space. We had a lot of questions about the food as I was there with tourists from overseas, and they patiently and happily answered our questions. Today, as I was walking past it, I saw an advertisement out front that they hold a knitting circle there sometimes too. It opens from 11 am to 9 pm Tuesday to Sunday, closing on Mondays. There is no parking available. There is a coin parking nearby. The closest station is Hon-Kawagoe. It is about a 10 minute walk from Hon-Kawagoe station or you can take a bus that goes to the tourist area of Kawagoe.
