Muji Nagaoka Station

A range of minimalist products from food to clothing

If you like all things minimalist when it comes to clothing, homewares, stationery and more, then Muji stores will be right up your alley. Since they're a chain you'll find them all over Japan, from freestanding stores to mall locations. My nearest right now is in Nagaoka - at the Nagaoka Station, no less! The store is part of the CoCoLo mall which is connected to the station itself, making for easy and convenient shopping. During the week, the store is very quiet and pleasant to shop at. Weekends do get much busier, however (as tends to be the case with most things here in Japan). Despite being situated in the station, the store is actually surprisingly large - and has homewares, adults and childrens clothing and footwear, food, stationery products and more. The store is open 7 days a week from 10am until 8pm.
