Narikyu serves the Japanese interpretation of Chinese food for reasonable prices, and it’s pretty flavorful. The all day menu has ramen, rice dishes and even yakiniku set menu. It’s a cheery place with kind staff and it’s right outside Shimizu Park. It can get busy at lunchtimes on weekends, but it’s worth the wait. You can get seated at a table or in the zashiki, the low floor tables. I usually get miso ramen chukadon there. Their donburi are substantial. If you’re still hungry, a side of gyoza or their monster spring rolls will fill you up. A picture menu is a big help to diners who are not literate in Japanese.
