Authentic Indian Food, Reasonable Prices
Santa Curry in Shiogama recently underwent some changes to heir menu. Replacing the mundane meat-and-spice-level options, more authentic fare has been brought forth, combining flavors more common in different parts of India. My husband and I went because we were out anyway and needing dinner. For just 4000 yen, we got a feast for two which left me so full I was nearly bursting at the seams. The curry was different, but delicious and interesting. The staff was affable and created a rich, comfortable atmosphere. I felt more like I was party to a culinary glimpse of the origin of these lovely dishes than I usually feel when I'm eating Indian food in Japan. The samosas were amazing also.
