Japanese-Chinese food, good flavor and portions

So I saw this place featured on one of the ubiquitous local travel/food shows and saw the host raving about it. Kiraku is your typical Japanese interpretation of Chinese food - lots of noodles, some Chinese classic stir fry dishes, and teishoku or set meals. I opted for tantanmen. I was offered a choice of thin, medium or thick noodles and went for medium. The bowl was topped with lots of shredded cabbage, carrot, and naganegi and a good helping of stir-fried ground meat that you'd expect with tantanmen. The broth was fragrant of sesame paste and had flavor but not complex or startling. My impression is that Kiraku is just a reliable place for Japanese-Chinese food.
