I was planning to go to a super cute cafe during my break but I couldn't find it on the street where it was supposed to be. Finally I realized the whole building had been torn down. I settled for the next place on that block, which happened to be a convenience store. The convenience store attached to Koga Hospital is next to the reception and has a huge fancy sitting (waiting?) room. It seems appropriate to eat there while waiting to meet a patient as there is a lot of seating at tables. The store is a typical convenience store with bento and snacks. The advantage is that it's really close to Nishitetsu Kurume Station, and sometimes we want convenience store prices (and convenience), but want to sit down and eat. It was a lot more relaxing to sit at a table near the window and watch people instead of eating while standing on the sidewalk in the cold.
