Tasty Vegetarian Restaurant on Niigata's Coastline

Interestingly this place is called Havana Dining but the cuisine is Indian - but it's a handy spot to visit if you have vegetarian friends visiting! It's a little far on foot from Niigata Station (it's about 4km away) so your better option is to head to Hakusan Station and it's only about 1km from there. It makes for a nice lunch spot if you're headed to Hakusan Park, and they even do takeaway lunch boxes if you'd prefer to grab a lunch and go sit in the park with it when the weather is nice. If you eat in, they have a deal where you can get all you can eat for 2 hours if you're exceptionally hungry, or just want to linger with friends and chat! As well as having a comprehensive savory food menu, they've also got desserts and lots of fresh juices and lassis. The store is 100% non smoking, there's free wifi, and there are also high chairs if you've got young children with you.
