Shikishima Shrine

Significant shrine

Another surprising and delightful find on a walk around Iroha Shinsui Park, was Shikishima shrine, which it turns out is a significant shrine in Shiki City. It is a merge of three separate shrines. It is the home of the Tagoyama Fujizuka which you will also find reviewed below. The grounds are tranquil and the shrine is quite picturesque. The shrine stamps here are popular, but they only sell them on select dates. The shrine plays a large role in the Shiki Summer Festivals each year in July.
