Taiyou no Hiroba

Nice rooftop space with shrine and viewpoint

Located on the roof of Kichijoji Tokyu Department store, the "Taiyou no hiroba" is an open relaxation space. There is a large section of fake grass, and it was lovely to see so many children using it; kicking a ball around, skipping, dancing and playing. There are a few seats. There is a small shrine too. It ha a smoking area too - indoors in a box! There is also a nice viewing area in one corner. Apparently, you can see Mt Fuji on a clear day.
