For a quick and casual lunch to wrap up a visit to Odawara City, I opted for this casual izakaya that's close to the east side of the train station. The lunchtime pictorial menu makes it easy to figure out what you're getting, and around the sushi counter are a la carte choices, too, if you're just up for drinks. The kaisendon I had was very fresh and it was served with katsuo broth, a sesame condiment, pickles and light soup. To finish your donmono, you pour the broth over it. This was the first time I'd seen kaisendon served this way. And I might do it at home that way from now on as it's really good!
