Play equipment, open space, gazebos
Maihira Park is a pleasant spot for younger kids, with a good amount of play equipment and wide open grassy areas (outside snow season!) which are great for running around or picnicking. There are also some covered gazebos which are nice to escape the sun. During spring they have a bunch of cherry trees here as well if you're looking for a quieter spot for some sakura appreciation. There's a decent amount of on-site parking too, for around 20-ish vehicles.
