The main incentive for my Tuesday trip to Higashichichibu village was to see the red spider lilies. I have no doubt this spot will become more and more popular as the years go on. I've already watched it go from a handful of visitors annually to (at least) a handful of visitors a day in the last five years. There are four main red spider lily spots in Higashichichibu, you'll find another reviewed below. This, by far, is my favorite of the four. The red spider lilies in this spot are in full bloom right now.
