Great vegan options that are more traditionally Japanese

This spot isn't entirely vegan or vegetarian - they do serve meat - but they are incredibly accommodating and the vegan options are fantastic. It's a great spot to take visitors if you have them in town, because they offer some traditional Japanese eats served up to be vegan friendly, like tempura, yaki-udon and a Japanese style plate that had a variety of bits and pieces on it. The staff here were very accommodating and friendly, which was one of the best things about visiting here. I'd come back for their warmth alone, but the food is fantastic and hearty, and the atmosphere at the cafe is also lovely. The cafe is opened from 10.30am to 4pm, and then again from 6pm until 10pm 6 days a week - they're closed every Wednesday so bear that in mind if you're making a special trip.
