On Jalan's top ten for Hydrangeas
https://www.city-cost.com/blogs/genkidesu/w5Axo-living Genkidesu shared about a survey on the country's top ten spots for hydrangeas, and there was one in my prefecture, not too far away. I had never been and the timing was good, so we went to check it out in the middle of June. It was the first super humid day of the season, but the hydrangeas were not yet in full bloom. There is a lake (small fountain) which they float hydrangeas on, although the day we went, there was nothing. I didn't see anything about the timing of when they put the hydranges in the "lake." There is a photo from the brochure, along with "summer camelia" which is a little unique. It was nice if you're interested in Buddhist temples and have a car. There is also an infrequent bus from Hankyu Ikeda Station. Most of the hydrangeas, including the lake, are in the free part of the garden. It costs 300 yen to enter the area where you can see a couple large Buddha statues and "Kannon Hall" which has tons of small statues. To be honest I've seen way better for hydrangeas, but it may have made the list because of the hydrangeas floating on the lake, which we missed.
