Special entry twice a year

The Japan Air Self Defense Force Kumagaya Air Base opens its gates to the public a handful of times a year. For most of the events you need to register in advance. But twice a year they open the base to one and all. That is for their annual cherry blossom festival in spring and their summer festival in August. It was a really great experience visiting the base and the cherry blossom festival here is one of the better ones.
