Learn and experience everything to do with green tea

Family friendly museum in Iruma with a big focus on tea. One of the few tea museums in the world. The ground floor (1st floor) is mainly free to peruse and play in. The upper floor where the tea exhibits are costs 200 yen for adults and 50 yen for children. They hold a number of free events as well as ones that you have to pay for. You can try your hand at the Japanese tea ceremony a couple of times a month. They have a great "experience area" for kids with Japanese traditional toys and crafts available on the weekend. There is a tea shop and restaurant on site. Parking is free and plentiful. Close to Costco and Mitsui Outlet in Iruma. By public transport you need to get a bus from Iruma station on the seibu ikebukuro line. Please see the blog post about ALIT for further information.
